Background

Irwin Mitchell has an established international office network covering 14 offices across the UK. The firm employs over 2,800 staff including over 1,300 legal trained personnel and has helped over 1 million clients in its 104-year history. Irwin Mitchell is the 11th largest law firm in the UK and amongst the top 50 in Europe. We started working with Irwin Mitchell in January 2017 after the firm reviewed its brand collateral purchases and wanted to bring together both print and merchandise to serve its marketing and events teams’ needs.

Client challenge

We hold Irwin Mitchell’s stock in storage and each office uses our web-to-print ordering system to place orders for next day delivery. With a busy schedule of around 400 events each year, Irwin Mitchell needs to ensure high-quality on-brand print and branded merchandise is available in rapid timescales across its network of offices and event venues. This is particularly important when events are on, as busy staff members are often last on site, have very few resources and need collateral ‘there and then’.

With a large team and fast-paced environment, we need to work efficiently and Streamline has been instrumental in implementing the necessary elements of their service to accommodate our requirements. Not only have they developed the online portal tailored to how we need to work, they’ve been quick to respond and offer advice where called upon. Their whole service offering has made our jobs a lot easier. We see them as an extension of our team and look forward to strengthening our partnership with Streamline over the coming months.

Streamline solution

To meet the challenge, we created a tailor-made solution, taking on existing branded stock and adding valuable pick, pack, fulfilment and returns procedures that would meet our client’s needs. The solution means users can view a live stock of items on an online portal, and call-off or place new production orders as and when required.

Added value through brand innovation

Our client was looking for innovative and unique corporate merchandise ideas. They also wanted a more flexible promotional products supplier that could answer the needs of their business. Their users can now order stock items until 12 noon and get a national next day delivery before 9.30am. We have also facilitated Irwin Mitchell’s specific needs by making bespoke changes to the online ordering system to ensure we account for any return of stock items.
