Branded clothing Imperial College London

Earlier this year, we were so excited to help our friends at Imperial College London launch their new Athleisure line which represented a glimpse into the future of their new campus style.

Streamline sourced, designed and produced every item and the outcome was a huge success for everyone involved. It was the first time our Streamliner Art Director designed each bespoke piece so it was very exciting to see the items going live in store.

Here’s how we made it happen…

Redefining Imperial’s Brand Identity

The team at Imperial wanted to make a strategic move to launch a premium athleisure collection in February of this year. They wanted to create garments that reflected a modern, forward-thinking and futuristic brand for their Gen Z audience.

Design philosophy and the collaboration process

We wanted the garments to feature a more relaxed, silhouette fit and wanted the sizing to align with trending popular brands like Adanola and Uniqlo.

Our Streamline team consisted of Designers and Art Directors from Manchester and an in-house team based in Edinburgh who worked closely together to curate a totally bespoke range for the customer.

The line underwent three to four rounds of design iterations and included two in person design sessions at the Imperial London college campus to finalise concepts.

Comfort & Durability

Loopback lining for a lighter, more comfortable feel (suitable for all-day wear). High-quality material for cuffs and waistband for a well-fitted garment. Upgraded, softer, and more durable 100% organic cotton fabric.

Unique Branding

Unique neck print for internal branding and comfort, replacing traditional labels. Distinctive hem labels, particularly on joggers, for added brand visibility.

Cohesive Sets

Premium joggers with high-quality toggles, black metal ends, and a fitted silhouette. Hoodie and jogger sets designed to encourage upsells and complete outfits.

Production precision

Each garment we created was pantone matched for consistency and the fabric was dyed in hundreds of square meters before cutting and stitching began. This method allowed for full customisation and seamless integration of all branding elements, for every single item.

The Imperial team were overjoyed with the success of their bespoke new line, and it was a collaborative, winning team that made this project possible. From Designers and Art Directors to Account Managers, Client Managers, the Retail team and the Brand team – it was a huge collaborative team effort, and everyone was thrilled with the results.
