We’re a BSIF registered safety supplier – here’s what it means for you

Here at Streamline, it’s really important to us that we operate ethically, sustainably and responsibly.

In this post, we’re going to look at why we’ve chosen to register with BSIF – The British Safety Industry Federation – and what that means for our clients

Who are the BSIF?

From the BSIF website:

“Today the BSIF is firmly established as the major independent voice of the British safety industry, helping to both influence legislation and provide industry in general with a source of authoritative information on a range of workplace safety issues, while representing the needs of its members.” [Soruce: BSIF]

What does that mean for me?

As a critical supplier of PPE to many UK healthcare organisations – including the NHS – we think it’s vital that we fully understand and adhere to strict standards of safety.

As noted on the BSIF website, since the outbreak of COVID-19, there’s been a surge in the volume of unregulated PPE making its way into the UK. These products are simply not fit for purpose – which is terrible news for those looking for high-quality PPE to help them ensure the safety of clients, customers and colleagues.

By unknowingly choosing PPE that’s unfit for purpose, businesses could potentially be putting people at risk.

For this reason, we’re a BSIF registered safety supplier. It acts as a guarantee that the PPE products we source adhere to legislative testing and certification requirements. You can be sure that all of our products meet the highest safety standards, giving you confidence that you’re adequately and effectively protecting everyone who interacts with your business.

From the BSIF website:

“Remember, by using a Registered Safety Supplier you can be sure you will only be supplied with genuine, appropriately approved product and you will receive sound advice without any attempt to mislead you.” [Source: BSIF]

If you’re unsure about what PPE or protective products you need to get business back up and running as the Government slowly eases lockdown restrictions, as well as find a supplier who can source you genuine, certified PPE, be sure to get in touch using the contact form below.
